LEVEL Youth Collective Too

LEVEL Youth Collective Too is a creative group for young people who are neurodivergent, have autism or ADHD.

We explore a range of different contemporary arts experiences away from the pressures of school or home to give young people space and time to develop their interests and confidence.

Youth Collective Too is based around storytelling – empowering young people to design their own narrative, using different techniques to express themselves in ways that feel natural to them. Over 12 weeks, the group will have the opportunity to explore a range of creative practices, giving them the techniques they need to create their own collaborative piece. This could be an animation, a podcast or even a comic book – the choice will be theirs. It’s all about building confidence in their own ideas and creativity.

The Youth Collective Too project extends and builds on the success of our existing Youth Collective sessions. The group has become an important space for young people to socialise with their peers who have similar lived experiences. Places on Youth Collective Too are limited. Sessions are free to attend (a voluntary £5 donation is welcomed) and run from 4:30pm-5:45pm on Tuesdays (non-consecutive, scroll for dates).

    Youth Collective Too Project

Youth Collective Too is a 12 week project supported by funding from The Victoria Wood Foundation.

The project extends and builds on our existing LEVEL Youth Collective, a creative group for young people aged 13 – 18 years old, who are neurodivergent, have autism or ADHD. Based around storytelling, the project will empower young people to design their own narrative, using different techniques that allow them to express themselves in ways that feel natural to them.

Over the 12 week period, we’ll present an array of different creative practices – from audio recording to movement to creating different characters – giving our group the techniques they need to create their own collaborative piece. This will be a non-prescriptive project for our neurodivergent young people to communicate their vision in their own way – allowing them to flourish and grow in confidence.
